On the call of the Central Federation of Non-Teaching Staff of colleges, the non-teaching staff in DAV College staged a dharna for 3 hours. The staff raised slogans against the government in support of their demands.
Non-Teaching Staff Union has demanded that notification of 6th Pay Commission should be issued, notification of revised pay scale should be issued to benefit the non-teaching employees from 1-12-2011. Notification of revised house rent and medical allowance should also be made from August 2009, the ban on filling vacant posts of non-teaching staff in aided colleges should be removed.
Rajinder Kumar, Rajinder Sharma, Rajesh Kumar, Vijay Kumar, Gopal Krishan, Mahavir Prasad, Ram Kumar, Gurnam Chand, Ramesh Kumar, Inder Mohan, Subhash Chandra, Rakesh Kumar etc. were present on this occasion.
