During afternoon hours on Friday forward deployed BSF troops noticed something suspicious items lying in the farming field in the area falling near village – Bharopal, under Amritsar district.
Further, during search of the area, BSF troops recovered two packets of narcotics substance suspected to be Heroin (gross wt. – 2.180 kgs), wrapped in yellow adhesive tape.
The contraband valued more than 10 crores in international market.
BSF Spokesman said, Vigilant BSF troops, once again foiled the nefarious attempt of anti – national elements to smuggle contrabands.
