FOUR MEMBERS OF BIKE LIFTERS GANG ARRESTED, TEN BIKES RECOVERED

The police have arrested four members of bike lifter gang and have recovered ten bikes. While divulging details SSP Surinder Lamba said that following the inputs, a naka was laid near Multani gate in the city area following which the accused identified as Bittu son of Jang Singh, Sanju alias Lalli son of Krishan Lal, Bhupinder Singh alias Bhinda son of Om Parkash and Abhay son of Billa (all residents of city area) were arrested by the police”, said SSP.

Later the police recovered ten bikes from the accused as per information provided by them. “The accused used to steal vehicles from the various villages and later sell at subsidized cost at some other places”, SSP further added.

The accused were booked by police under sections 379, 411 IPC at city police station (FIR No. 431 Dated 03.11.2022).

In other case, two persons identified as Gurjit Singh alias Babbu resident of Village Lakhmir ke Uthar and Surjit Singh alias Jeeta resident of Village Saide ke were arrested and two stolen bikes were recovered from them. The accused were booked under sections 379, 411 IPC at Sadar police station (FIR No. 247 Dated 03.11.2022).
