Spl Staff is tasked to regularly making surveillance over the bailout gang members of different gangs. The team of special staff was directed for not only detection of crime but also make efforts for the prevention of crime with intensive patrolling and checking, so that commission of any crime can be averted.
(MOREPIC1) A dedicated team led by Insp. Naveen Kumar and comprising ASI Umesh, HC Sandeep, HC Kul Bhushan, HC Dev kumar, and HC Bachoo Singh under the overall supervision of Sh. Ram Avtar, ACP/Ops Dwarka, was constituted to nab the criminals who roam in the area carrying illegal weapons. Secret informers were deployed to identify such criminals.
On 15/11/22, a specific information was received by the team regarding a boy namely Ramesh, who is involved in a gunshot fire on a person in village Badshahpur, Gurugram, Haryana and will come near HP Gas Agency Jhatikra road area of PS Chhawla, carrying illegal firearms and ammunition in order to commit crime.
Mr. M. Harsha Vardhan, IPS, DCP, Dwarka, said, as per information, a trap was laid down at HP Gas Agency Jhatikra Road, Delhi and accused was apprehended by the team. During interrogation, he disclosed his identity as Ramesh R/o Village Paprawat, Najafgarh, Delhi, Age 20 years. During frisking, one sophisticated pistol 0.32 bore & 02 live cartridges were recovered from his possession. Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 504/22 U/s 25/54/59 Arms Act was registered at PS Chhawla.
On detailed interrogation, he revealed that he fired at a birthday party and the bullet hit a boy who was also there in the birthday party.
