On 22.12.2022, complainant Ms. Yusra r/o Ganesh Nagar, Pandav Nagar, Delhi reported that her husband namely Parth, Age- 30 years was missing since morning. She further stated that she had received a phone call for a ransom of 1 lac for the release of her husband from one Dharmendra who was a friend of her husband. After some time, she started receiving ransom calls frequently. She transferred a sum of 10000/- but the abductors did not release him. They demanded more money as ransom.
(MOREPIC1) A case FIR No- 740/22, u/s- 364A/365/384/506/34 IPC was registered and an investigation was taken up. A special team was immediately constituted to crack the case under the supervision of Insp Kashmiri Lal, SHO/Mandawali comprising ATO/Mandawali, IO/SI Pradeep, ASI Ghanshyam, HC Manoj, HC Yogesh and W/Ct Munesh under over all supervision of ACP/Mayur Vihar.
The criminals were giving threatening calls to Yusra Gupta, the wife of the abductee to get the ransom amount transferred immediately. They sent a bar-code to transfer the money. A sum of 10000/- was arranged to save the victim and to seek time. During the investigation, it was revealed that the victim has been kept hostage in Mewat area of Haryana.(SUBHEAD)
CDR of ransom calls were analysed thoroughly, on the basis of which local intelligence was developed. Subsequently, a raiding party was sent to Palwal and the adjoining area of Mewat Distt. After several raids, accused Dharmender and his associate Manvender @mannu were apprehended and the hostage was rescued. Hostage Parth Gupta was kept in the room of New Krishana Hospital, Nuh by accused Dharmender where he was working as Lab technician.
Interrogation: Amrutha Guguloth, IPS, Deputy Commissioner of Police, East Distt. Delhi, said, it was revealed that some time back Dharmender came in contact to Parth Gupta through a common friend. Dharmender came to know that Parth was living a luxurious life and might be having good money. He conspired with his associates Alam and Munna, both having criminal background, to extort money from Parth. As per the plan Parth was called for business in Palwal and from there he was abducted and kept hostage. He was taken to the fields of Mewat where he was beaten and was made to call his wife for ransom. Accused also called his wife asking for money for his release.
KNOW THE ACCUSED: Dharmendra, Age- 27 years r/o Hathin, Palwal is a native of Vill Hatana PS Koshi Distt Mathura. After studying till 12th standard he got a diploma of lab technician and started working in New Krishna Hospital.
Manpreet @ mannu, Age- 28 years r/o Distt Palwal. He is 9th class dropout. He has previously been involved in 5 Criminal cases of robbery, attempt to murder etc. He helps his father in farming.
Two other accused/associates identified as Dal Chand r/o Distt Palwal and Alam r/o Distt Palwal. Haryana are absconding . Efforts are on to nab them as well. Further investigation is going on.
