On 04.11.2022 complaint Rajender Prasad Aggarwal reported that he runs an electrical goods shop at Ganesh Nagar, Pandav Nagar. He alleged that two persons came at his shop pretending as the employees of Paytm and hacked the Paytm account of the complainant, by taking access from his phone, and cheated Rs 95000 from his Paytm wallet. In this regard a case FIR NO- 61/22, Dt 22/12/2022, U/S-420/34 IPC, was registered in P.S- Cyber East Distt, Delhi.
Amrutha Guguloth, IPS, Deputy Commissioner of Police, East Distt, said during the course of investigation CCTV footage of the incident was taken on record. It was found that cheated amount was transferred to the account of one Karthik Nawariya R/o Sangam Vihar. On 22.12.22, staff of PS Cyber apprehended Karthik Nawariya S/o Shri Babu Lal Nawariya R/o Sangam Vihar Delhi, age 25 yrs. Accused Karthik Nawariya S/o Shri Babu Lal Nawariya is direct beneficiary of alleged amount i.e. Rs 95,000/- which was cheated from the complainant on 04.11.2022.(SUBHEAD)
He disclosed that his account was used by his associates Harish Singh Bisht and Gulam Rabbani for business purpose. He further disclosed that one Praveen was the mastermind behind all the operation.
During the course of investigation on the instance of Karthik Nawariya his associates (1) Gulam Rabbani R/o Prem Gujjar Shutter wali gali Near, Vishal Mega Khanpur Delhi, Age 27 Years (2) Harish Singh Bisht R/o Block -F2 Sangam Vihar near KSK Public School Delhi Age 30 Years were arrested. The account of all three accused petrsons have been freezed.
Both the accused namely Gulam Rabbani and Harish Singh Bisht have also been identified by the complainant. Further efforts are on to apprehend Praveen in the case.
