The shining example of the spiritual power that is attained at the various service centres of the Brahmakumaris is that at one time I myself had moved towards a dark life, returned to the mainstream through meditation and yoga. President Draupadi Murmu, said this while addressing the Conference of “Rising India through Spiritual Empowerment” under the theme of the Amrit Mahotsav of Independenceat Shantivan of Brahma Kumaris.
She said that many institutions are working in the world but Brahma Kumaris is such an institution which is run by sisters. Support is given from behind by the senior brothers in the institute. The success of Brahmakumaris Sansthan proves that women can do better work than men when given the opportunity. As a spiritual organization, not only Brahmakumaris, many such organizations are moving forward in this direction.(SUBHEAD)
Today, the institute here is running five thousand service centres in 137 countries of the world. Women have a leading role in its operation, brothers do help. This is the world's largest NGO run by women. I was supposed to come in September last year but did not come. Now Baba called me and I came. I bow down to Brahma Baba and thank him for placing the Kalash on the head to give peace and strength to women all over the world.
President Murmu said that in the atmosphere of war and discord, the world community is looking towards India for a solution.
We have to end the mentality of Kaliyuga and call for the mentality of Satyug. For this, we all have to try to adopt good qualities in our mind. The spirit of kindness and compassion is in the life values of the Indians. May this campaign started from Mount Abu provide strength in empowering all Indians and empowering the society. The Brahma Kumaris are paving the way for peace and joy.
