DELHI POLICE SOLVED BLIND MURDER CASE

With the arrest of accused Munishddin, 27 years R/o Ram Ghat, Wazirabad, Delhi, the team of NR-II section, Crime Branch, has done a commendable job of solving a blind brutal murder case. Deceased namely Rashid was murdered by the accused by stabbing him in abdomen and by slitting his throat. Thereafter, he burnt the body of deceased. In this regard, a case vide FIR No. 06/2023, dt. 02.01.2023, U/s 302/201 IPC was registered at PS Wazirabad, Delhi.
An information was received at PS Wazirabad, Delhi regarding a charred body of a person lying in front of Ram Ghat, Wazirabad Delhi. A charred body of a male in about 90% burnt condition was found at the spot. At a distance from the place where the dead body was found, a pool of blood was also found in the bushes. A paper cutter and a matchbox were recovered from the spot. Later on, the dead body was identified as of one Rashid R/o Wazirabad, Delhi.
Taking into consideration the sensitivity of the case, a dedicated team of NR-II Crime Branch, Rohini, Delhi under the leadership of Inspr. Sandeep Singh of NR-II Crime Branch comprising of HC Arjun Singh, HC Satyavart, HC Mukesh and Ct. Tarun under the overall supervision of Sh. Narender Singh, ACP/NR-II, was constituted by Sh. Vichitra Veer Singh, DCP Crime to nab the accused.
The CCTV footages of the area were scrutinized and a person was seen with the deceased Rashid. Based on the analysis of CCTV footages, technical and manual surveillance, all the investigation zeroed in at accused Munishddin.(SUBHEAD)
On specific information that accused would come to near nala, Bawana road, Rohini Sector-16 in wee hours. So, a trap was laid and accused Munishddin was apprehended.
Accused belongs to a mediocre family. He had studied upto 6th class only and afterwards started work of plumbing. His family consists of parents, 03 brothers and 04 sisters. He has been residing at the above-mentioned address for the last 14 years.
MOTIVE OF MURDER: Mr. Ravindra Singh Yadav, IPS, Speccial Commissioner of Police, said, accused Munishddin and deceased Rashid were residing in vicinity and were working together as plumber and electrician respectively, so they became close friends. They even started visiting each other’s house. During this time, accused Munishddin and deceased wife developed illicit relationship. Munishddin used to visit Rashid’s house often to meet her and they both hatched a conspiracy to eliminate Rashid as relations between him and his wife turned sour as he used to drink and beat her. For the last 10-15 days, she pressurized Munishddin to get rid of Rashid.
Both hatched a conspiracy to eliminate Rashid. As per planning, on the day of incident, Munishddin took Rashid to Ram Ghat, Wazirabad at a lonely place where both of them consumed alcohol and accused Munishddin stabbed Rashid in an inebriated condition. Thereafter, he slit his throat and burnt the dead body with the help of inflammable bushes. The accused tried to destroy all the evidences and identification of deceased.
