THREE PERSONS INVOLVED IN FIRING INCIDENT IN MAUJPUR ARRESTED

In the night intervening 28/29 December-2022, an firing incident in Vijay Mohalla, Maujpur, Jafrabad, Delhi by three persons was received in PS Jafrabad, Delhi. In CCTV footage, two of them were seen hurling and using fire arms. They fired bullets in the air while shouting in abusive language and fled away.

Accordingly, a case FIR No. 751/2022 dated 29.12.22 u/s 336/506/34 IPC & 25/27 Arms Act, PS Jafrabad was registered and investigation taken up. .

Assessing the gravity of the incident, apart from the police team of PS Jafrabad several other police teams were also working to nab the culprits. Police teams scanned and analysis the footage of the CCTV Cameras installed in the vicinity. Technical surveillance as well as human source was deployed to find clue. After cumbersome efforts police team of PS Gokul Puri comprising SI Rinku Singh, ASI Jahangir Khan, HC Vipin, HC Ravi, Const. Rohit and Const. Vipin of PS Gokul Puri was successful to zeroed-in on a suspected person through human and technical intelligence. On 04.01.23 raid was conducted at Nala Road Bhagirath Vihar, Delhi and on the instance of informer one person was apprehended with two live cartridges .315 bore.

On examination his identity was established as Mohd. Jubair R/o Old Mustafabad, Dayal Pur, Delhi, Age-19 years.

Mr. Sanjay Kumar Sain, IPS, DCP, said, on sustain interrogation, he confessed for his crime and disclosed that he along with his associates namely Saikul and Faizan Ansari remained involved in firing incident in Vijay Mohalla, Maujpur, Delhi.(SUBHEAD)

Further, on his instance, raid was conducted at Bhagirathi Vihar Pulia and his associates Saikul and Faizan Ansari were apprehended with one TVS scooty bearing registration No. DL-1SY-4536 which was later found stolen in e-FIR No.031060/22 u/s 379 IPC PS Shastri Park Delhi. On their cursory search one country made pistol and two live cartridges were recovered from the possession of Saikul and one country made pistol and one live cartridge was recovered from the possession of Faizan Ansari.

Accordingly, 03 separate cases of Arms Act were registered against them in PS Gokul Puri, Delhi.Further investigation in this case is in progress.

PERSON ARRESTED: • Saikul R/o Indira Vihar, Gokul Puri, Delhi, 19 years. Previous Involvement-02 (Hurt & Arms Act) • Faizan Ansari R/o Indira Vihar, Gokul Puri, Delhi, Age-19 years.• Mohd.Jubair R/o Old Mustafabad, Dayal Pur,Delhi, Age-19 years.

RECOVERY: • Two Country-made Pistols. • 3 live cartridges of 315 bore • 2 live cartridges of 7.65 bore
• One TVS Scooty No.. DL-1SY-4536 stolen from PS Shastri Park area.
