As per directions of senior officers & keeping in view of the recent incidents, an intensive patrolling drive has been launched during night hours in the area of PS Sadar Bazar under “Operation Vighaat”.
In the intervening night of 6/7.01.2023, during patrolling the team Vighaat comprising of HC Raj Kamal, HC Naveen, Ct Rajendra and Ct Abhishek noticed a Car and two Motorcycles parked in a dark spot at Ram Kumar Marg, Motia Khan Sadar Bazar, Delhi. They noticed suspicious activities of around 10-12 persons present in the Car and on two motorcycles. Immediately, the above said police team gave the Information to Duty Officer of PS Sadar Bazar to send more staff.
A dedicated team comprising of SI Lalit, SI Sandeep, HC Anuj, Ct Mahipal, Ct Sanjay and Ct Rajan has been constituted, under the leadership of Inspr. Kanhaiya Lal Yadav, SHO/PS Sadar Bazar and guidance Sh. Vijay Kumar Rastogi, ACP/Sub-Division, Sadar Bazar to reach at the spot and apprehend the suspicious persons. After seeing the presence of police staff, the accused persons tried to escape from the spot. When police staff tried to stop them, accused persons started manhandling with staff and torn uniform of Ct Abhishek.
One of the accused persons pointed out loaded country made pistol (Deshi Katta) upon Ct Rajendra. Ultimately, the staff of PS Sadar Bazar apprehended 08 accused persons from the spot, somehow 02 accused persons managed to escape from the spot. They were Kapil and Kunal who managed to escape on separate motorcycles. The number plate of Alto Car was covered with black tape purposely. On inspection of the car, 04 Laths (Heavy Sticks) and One Country Made Pistol along with 03 live cartridges have been recovered from the possession of accused persons.
Subsequently, a case vide FIR No. 23/23 dated 07.01.2023 u/s 186/353/34 IPC & 25/27 Arms Act was registered at PS Sadar Bazar accordingly, all 08 accused persons arrested and investigation was taken up.
During enquiry, all the accused persons have been found as the residents of nearby Villages of Bahadurgarh, District Jhajjar, Haryana having very young age group.
MOTIVE BEHIND THE CRIME: Mr. Sagatr Singh Kalsi, IPS, DCP, North Distt, said, there was some business dealing between Sadar Bazar's person and Pappal, who is big cloth merchant and have cloth godown at Bahadurgarh, Harayana area. According to accused persons Sadar Bazaar person have to pay huge amount to Pappal because Sadar Bazar's person taken cloths on credit from Pappal. Sadar Bazar's person was delaying and avoiding in that payment. So, all the accused persons under a conspiracy hatched by Pappal and Kapil gathered with above said weapons on the spot from where they were apprehended by the valour police team with the intention to threat, beating to Sadar Bazar’s person. All the weapons, Heavy Lath, (Heavy Sticks) Alto car and motorcycles were arranged by Pappal and Kapil for the commission of offence. Kapil is the person who reiki the route of Sadar Bazaar’s person and choose dark spot for assault on Sadar Bazaar person.(SUBHEAD)
The accused persons will be taken on police remand for the arrest of Pappal and other accused persons who managed to run away from the spot, so that the source of arms and weapon may be traced and to identify/trace Sadar Bazaar”s person whose name and address is not known to the arrested persons.

(Previously found involved in a case of Arms Act registered in PS Jhajjar, Haryana)., Suraj r/o Village Asuda, Todaran, Sector-17 Bahadurgarh, District Jhajjar, Haryana, age-21 years., Neeraj r/o Village Barari, Bahadurgarh, District Jhajjar, Haryana, age-20 years.
The investigation of the case is in progress and efforts are being made to nab the main co-accused persons Pappal and Kapil as well as to identify/trace Sadar Bazaar’s person whose name and address is not known to the arrested persons.
