A delegation of Members of Parliament Standing Committee on Defence visited POKARAN Field Firing RANGES located near Jaisalmer and witnessed Integrated Fire Power Demonstration. They saw the employment of versatile and indigenously manufactured weapon systems and their use in simulated battlefield conditions with devastating effects on the target end.
They also reviewed the existing and planned infrastructure development in the Ranges for adopting to the future requirements of training by the Indian Army.
The committee is headed by JualOram MP & Chairperson, SCOD along with 22 other members. The SCOD is a committee of selected Members of Parliament for the purpose of legislative overviewing the defence policies and decision making of the Ministry of Defence.
