About 80,000 BAPS volunteers, who took a long leave from their jobs or stopped their business to render tireless services day and night for Pramukh Swami Maharaj Shatabdi Mahotsav, were felicitated at a function meeting organized in Pramukh Swami Maharaj Nagar.
(MOREPIC1) Mahant Swami ji Maharaj, the spiritual head of the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha, asked for the soil of the Mahotsav place, mixed sandalwood water in it and applied Tilak on his forehead and said that crores of devotees participated in the ceremony which lasted for 30 days. He is feeling himself blessed by applying the tilak of the soil that was touched by their feet.
In a 5-page handwritten letter of thanks, Swamiji said that such a program has neither happened in the past nor is it likely to happen in the future. This has been possible only because of the immense devotion of the devotees settled in different countries towards the world venerable Saint Pramukh Swami Maharaj and the blessings of Swamishri.
Other speakers who addressed the program said that thousands of dignitaries including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Governors, Chief Ministers, foreign diplomats and heads of various religions came to participate in the event but all of them said that how can a festival be conducted smoothly by making excellent arrangements, the living proof of that was found at the Mahotsav.
The aim of this month-long event was to motivate millions of people to lead a virtuous life away from addictions and connect people with spirituality and public welfare. It is absolutely necessary to salute the volunteers who made this festival unforgettable
