Shri Sammed Shikharji Sadbhavna Yatra will be organised from February 5 to March 7, 2023, through Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh and other states to Jharkhand for environmental protection, sanctity and launching of welfare schemes in Madhuban situated at the foothills of Parvatraj, the highest Jain pilgrimage Shri Sammed Shikhar ji.

President of Vishwa Jain Sangathan Sanjay Jain said that Sammed Shikhar Ji 'Parasnath Parvatraj' was given permission for tourism, widening of roads, vehicle operation and non-religious activities in the eco-sensitive zone by the Central Forest Ministry in the year 2018 on the recommendation of the then Jharkhand government.

The politicization of Jain society's efforts to save the environment and sanctity of Parvatraj from destruction by the notification of 2nd August 2019 is sad and worrying while the mountains are cracking due to the destruction in the name of development and incidents like Joshimath are proof. That's why for the protection of the supreme Jain pilgrimage, it is necessary to maintain its natural form from time immemorial forever.(SUBHEAD)

Announcing the donation of his 8000 yards of land to the organization for welfare schemes, Rajesh Jain, the patron of the organization, said that during the yatra, seeds of trees will be collected to make people aware of the conservation of mountains and on 6th March, the mountain will be cleaned and saplings will be planted for the protection of the environment.

NGO’s state coordinator Dr. Sandeep Kumar Jain, Ravinder Jain,Purushottam Jain and Rakesh Jain said that by joining the yatra under the leadership of the organization, the message of sanctity of pilgrimages and protection of the environment along with the accumulation of virtues of worshiping pilgrimages will motivate people.
