SENSATIONAL MURDER CASE SOLVED BY THE STAFF OF PS ANAND PARBAT, CENTRAL DISTRICT

With the arrest of Sumit R/o Anand Parbat, Delhi Age 20.5 Years, the team of PS Anand Parbat solved a sensational murder case.
(MOREPIC1) On 03.02.2023, at around 09 PM, a PCR call was received in PS Anand Parbat, Delhi regarding death of a person. EO ASI Nand Kishore reached the spot and found one person lying unconscious on the bed. Initially, it appeared as a natural death as the deceased namely Jitendra Sharma was paralysed and addicted to alcohol also.
However, there appeared possibility of homicide when wife of deceased informed police that she suspects her son behind murder of her husband. Hence, the body was shifted to RML Hospital and Post Morterm was conducted on 04.02.2023. After PM, Doctor orally informed that it was not a case of natural death and appeared to be a case of homicidal/strangulation. Subsequently, a case vide FIR No. 96/22 U/s 302 IPC was registered at PS Anand Parbat and investigation of the case was taken up.
(SUBHEAD)Keeping in view the sensational case of murder, a dedicated team comprising Insp. Dharmendra Kumar (ATO/AP), SI Bhupender Singh, SI Satyam Gupta, ASI Nand Kishor Tiwari, HC Anuj and Ct. Lokender was constituted under the close supervision of ACP Patel Nagar.
The team checked several CCTV footages, all the suspected areas were searched and help of informer was also obtained. During the course of investigation, statement of neighbour was recorded who informed that on the same day, he was also drinking alcohol along with deceased and accused. He also mentioned that he left both of them around 6:30 PM only. On sustained interrogation and confrontation with witness, accused Sumit (Son of deceased) confessed his crime.
The strenuous efforts by the team ultimately yielded results and the accused persons namely Sumit R/o Anand Parbat, Delhi Age 20.5 years was arrested.
INTERROGATION : Shweta Chauhan, IPA, DCP, Central Distt. said, during sustained interrogation, the accused person (son of the deceased) revealed that he and his father used to live together as his mother left them long time ago. His father was paralysed and he had to take care of him alone. On the day of incident, he and his father had consumed 11 quarters of alcohol since morning. In the evening, his father urinated on the bed and he got frustrated over it and killed him by strangulating him.Further investigation is in underway.
