MAIN ACCUSED WANTED TO LEAD ‘PANDAT GANG’, BY REPLACING IT’S PREVIOUS LEADER, AS HE IS IN JAIL FOR MURDER OF ONE KEY MEMBER OF RIVAL ‘BONA GANG’. THEY USED TO SHOOT VIDEOS OF THEIR HOOLIGANISM IN ORDER TO IMPRESS YOUNGESTERS TO JOIN THEIR‘PANDAT GANG’. THEY MADE PROFILES OVER SOCIAL MEDIA (USING GANG NAME & NOTORIOUS WORDS LIKE DEVILS, ZIDDI LADKA, EAGLES OR 302) AND USED TO UPLOAD THEIR VIDEOS TO SHOW OFF. MAIN ACCUSED EVEN IMPRINTED SCARY TATTOOS OF GANG NAME &OF EAGLE SITTING ON SKULLS & BONES. THEY WERE IMPRESSED BY CRIME MOVIES LIKE ‘KGF’, ‘ARJUN PANDAT’ & ‘ZIDDI’ AND ONE OF THEM EVEN COPIED HAIR STYLE OF KGF’s CHARACTER- ROCKY BHAI, IN ORDER TO IMPERSONATE HIS LIFESTYLE. MAIN ACCUSED CAME OUT OF JAIL ON BAIL IN FEB. 2022 IN ‘ATTEMPT TO CULPABLE HOMICIDE CASE’ OF PS BHALSWA DAIRY & ACTIVELY PARTICIPATED IN CRIMINAL ACTIVITIES OF THIS GANG.

In a major crackdown, two sharp shooters of 'Pandat Gang' nabbed red-handed by Special Staff of North-West District. They were wanted in'Firing Case' of PS Bhalswa Dairy, committed a day before their arrest. They were identified as Shiv Chandan Pandat @ Pandat Shooter S/o Jogi Jha R/o Jagram Chowk, Mukundpur, Part-I, Delhi, Age- 23 years and Rohit S/o Mahesh Singh R/o Radha Vihar, Mukundpur, Delhi, Age- 22 years. They were roaming in the area to take revenge from rival 'Bona Gang'.
(MOREPIC1)Both gangs were earlier found involved in Murder cases of PS Burari as they murdered key members of each other gang.Main accused Chandan Pandat wanted to replace the main leader of 'Pandat Gang' who is running JC in Murder Case of PS Burari. Four Firearms (One automatic loaded pistol with two rounds, three loaded country made pistols) and one stolen bike recovered from their possession. This gang is operating in the area of Mukundpur, Bhalswa Dairy& Burari and their main target is to terrorize the public, extort money and to establish the only active gang operating in this area by eliminating rival ‘Bona Gang’ as they murdered one of their key member.
In order to earn easy money through terrorizing the peace loving citizens, through incidents of illegal land acquisition, abduction, firing, extortion, physical assault and murder, several regional and inter-state gangs operate in outer, outer-north & north Delhi. All these gangs in a race to dominate the area, indulge in gang war.
The kingpin gangs of the likes of Neeraj Bawana Gang, Kala Jathedi Gang, etc. have a huge impact on the minds of youngsters in the area. These gangs operate and explore the liberty of social media in order to expand. Two similar such gangs flourished in the area of Mukundpur, Bhalaswa Dairy and Burari, when the area underwent construction, plotting & development at a large scale.
These gangs were called, ‘Bona Gang’ & ‘Pandat Gang’. The Bona Gang was operated by Mukesh Bona, who is running in JC for Murder of one key member namely, Manoj Babu of Pandat Gang. The Pandat Gang was operated by their leader namely, Anil Swami who is running in JC for the Murder of key member of Bona Gang.(SUBHEAD)
In absence of main members- Anil Swami (in jail) & Manoj Babu (Murdered), accused Chandan Pandat arrested in instant case who had ambitions to be a famous gangster, explored the opportunity to lead Pandat Gang and take it to new plethora of crime world.
Acting proactively in order to curb crime & criminal activities in the area of North-West District, Special Staff was tasked to keep a check on criminals, especially gangsters operating in the outskirt areas. On 06.02.2023, a tip off was received that some criminals who were involved in Firing Incident of PS Bhaswa Dairy just a day before, were roaming in the area to take revenge from their rival gang.
Immediately, information was shared with senior officers who directed to take immediate action and accordingly, two teams led by Inspr. Dinesh Beniwal, I/c Special Staff/ North-West, comprising SI Arun, SI Suresh Tyagi, HC Somveer, HC Sandeep, HC Narsi, HC Satya Narender, HC Bholu, Ct. Jagminder, Ct. Ankush, Ct. Uttam, Ct. Sagar & Ct. Akshay was formed under close supervision of Sh. Pankaj Singh, ACP/Operations and overall supervision of the undersigned.
Acting immediately on the received information, both the teams were strategically positioned at two different locations near VIPS College, on the bank of canal, when at about 07:55 PM they noticed two persons riding a motorcycle coming towards them. On indication of secret informer, one team approached towards them in order to intercept them.
They tried to flee away towards main Outer Ring Road, on seeing police. Another team positioned near main Outer Ring Road tried to intercept them. They again tried to flee away from a narrow path. Police staff responded swiftly and displayed keen sense of alertness by intercepting them and successfully nabbed them. On enquiry, they were later identified as Shiv Chandan Pandat @ Pandat Shooter S/o Jogi Jha R/o Jagram Chowk, Mukundpur, Part-I, Delhi, Age- 23 years and Rohit S/o Mahesh Singh R/o Radha Vihar, Mukundpur, Delhi, Age- 22 years.
On their cursory search, 04 Firearms (01 automated pistol loaded with 02 cartridges and 03 loaded country-made pistols) were recovered from their possession. On verification of the motorcycle No. DL11 SW 1357 recovered from them, it was found stolen from the area of PS Budh Vihar.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 189/23u/s 25/54/59 Arms Act & 102 CrPC was registered in PS Maurya Enclave on 06.02.2023and investigation was taken up.
Usha Ramgnani, IPS, Dy. Commissioner of Police, North West, said, during their sustained interrogation, they disclosed that they were roaming in the area in search of a rival ‘Bona Gang’ member to commit his murder in order to avenge murder of their one key member. They further disclosed that both of them are sharp shooters of ‘Pandat Gang’.
On verification, it was revealed that both of them were involved in ‘Firing Incident’ (just a day before) case of PS Bhalaswa Dairy registered vide FIR No. 212/23 u/s 323/336/34 IPC & 27/54/59 Arms Act dated 06.02.2023. In this case, they opened fire outside office of a property dealer in Bhalswa Dairy area, in order to threaten him so as to extort money from him.
Accused Chandan Pandat @ Pandat Shooter found previously involved in ‘Attempt to culpable homicide’ case of PS Bhalswa Dairy registered vide FIR No. 744/21 u/s 308/34 IPC dated 16.10.2021. In this case, he alongwith his associates started hooliganism in a religious ceremony (Jagran), wherein they assaulted a victim with bricks and stones. He was released from jail on bail in this case in February 2022.
After being released from jail, he started participating actively in the criminal activities of Pandat Gang and became a key ally of main gangster Manoj Babu, who was murdered by rival Bona Gang in December 2022. In that case, gangster Mukesh Bona &his associates of Bona Gang were arrested in case FIR No. 957/22 u/s 307/302/34 IPC & 25/27/54/59 Arms Act, PS Burari.
Another gangster, namely Anil Swami (leader of Pandat Gang) is also running in JC in murder case registered vide FIR No. 666/20 u/s 302/34 IPC & 25/27/54/59 Arms Act PS Burari. In this case, he alongwith his associates committed murder of members of rival Bona Gang. He found to be a dreaded criminal (BC of PS Shalimar Bagh), previously involved in 27 cases of murder, robbery, snatching, cheating, Arms Act, etc.
In absence of main gangsters- Anil Swami (in jail) & Manoj Babu (Murdered), accused Chandan Pandat @ Pandat Shooter arrested in instant case who had ambitions to be a famous gangster, explored the opportunity to lead Pandat Gang and take it to new plethora of crime world. In order to fulfill his evil intentions, he started expanding the gang on his own, by especially targeting those youngsters who were disowned by their families due to their involvement in criminal activities at a tender age & addiction towards drugs/alcohol.
Together, they used to shoot videos of their hooliganism in order to publicize their ‘Pandat Gang’.They made profiles over social media (using gang name & notorious words like Devils, Ziddi Ladka, Eagles or 302) and used to upload their videos to show off.Main accusedChandan Pandat even imprinted scary tattoos of gang name & of Eagle sitting on skulls & bones.He was impressed by crime movies like ‘KGF’, ‘Arjun Pandat’ & ‘Ziddi’ and he even copied hair style of KGF’s character- Rocky Bhai, in order to impersonate his lifestyle.
Further efforts are being made to trace their possible involvement in other cases also.

Rohit S/o Mahesh Singh R/o Radha Vihar, Mukundpur, Delhi, Age- 22 years. He is a student of B.Com 2nd year and he was disowned by his father due to his bad company. Later he became close friend/ associate of gangster Chandan Pandat from last 6 months & started committing crimes.
