ACCUSED PERSONS FLED TO SAMSTIPUR, BIHAR AFTER COMMITTING CRIME, ACCUSED PERSONS WERE NABBED FROM BIHAR

With the arrest of accused persons namely Aman @ Ravi, 22 years, r/o B-block, Vijay Vihar, Phase-I, Delhi and Anshul Verma, 19 years, r/o Vijay Vihar, Phase-II, Delhi, a team of NR-II, Crime Branch, has done a commendable job by solving the brutal murder case of PS Prashant Vihar. One Sandeep Thakur was brutally killed by the accused persons by hitting him on his head with a plastic crate. In this regard, a case vide FIR No. 78/2023, dt. 09.02.2023, U/s 302/34 IPC, PS- Prashant Vihar, Delhi was registered.
An information was received in PS Prashant Vihar regarding a brawl at Sawariya Tent, DDA Ground, Sector-12, Rohini where one witness r/o Delhi stated that two accused persons namely Aman and Anshul have beaten a catering staff namely Sandeep Thakur, 48 years, r/o Agar Enclave, Prem Nagar, Kirari Suleman Nagar, Delhi to death as he failed to come up with food plates for them at a private party function in Sector-12, Rohini, Delhi.
Taking into consideration the sensitivity of the case, a dedicated team of NR-II Crime Branch, Rohini, Delhi under the leadership of Inspr. Sandeep Singh comprising of SI Ravi, SI Dipender Singh, SI Sachin Dabas, HC Satyawart, HC Mukesh, HC Ashish and Ct. Tarun under the overall supervision of Sh. Narender Singh, ACP/NR-II was constituted by Sh. Vichitra Veer, DCP/Crime and Sh. S.D. Mishta, Joint CP/Crime.
CCTV footages of the area were scrutinized and both the persons were identified as Aman @ Ravi r/o B-block, Vijay Vihar, Phase-1, Delhi age-22 years and Anshul Verma r/o Vijay Vihar, Phase-2, Delhi, age- 19 years. The team swung into action and CCTV footages of the area were minutely examined, their movement was seen towards Railway Station. On examination of the CCTV footages of the New Delhi railway station, both the accused persons were seen boarding in Bihar Sampark Kranti Express.
Mr.Ravindra Singh Yadav, IPS, Special Commissioner of Police, Crime, said, further antecedents/addresses of all the relatives of both the accused persons were verified. The team zeroed in one relative of accused Aman @ Ravi at Village Morwah, PS-Tajpur, District Samstipur, Bihar situated on the route of Bihar Sampark Kranti Express.
The Team immediately departed for Bihar & raided at the house of maternal aunt of accused Aman namely Gita r/o Samstipur (Bihar) and apprehended both the accused persons from there.
FAMILY BACKGROUND : Both the accused persons belongs to a mediocre family. Accused Anshul and Aman had studied upto 11th and 6th standard respectively. Both of them started working as DJ players.
