The 32nd Convocation of Dev Samaj College for Women(DSCW), Sector 45-B, Chandigarh was organized to confer degrees to the students of batches of 2020-21 and 2021-22. Over 500 students from different postgraduate and undergraduate courses received their degrees.
The ceremony began with the blessings of Shriman Nirmal Singh Dhillon, Chairman, Dev Samaj College Managing Committee. Sh. Vinod Kumar Sharma, Hon'ble Justice Lokpal, Punjab was the worthy Chief Guest for the function. Dr. Agnese Dhillon, Secretary, Dev Samaj College Managing Committee was the Guest of Honour for the occasion. Mr. Vinod Kataria along with other members of the college managing committee was also present.
Principal, Dr. Meena Chopra presented an overview of the college and a report on the previous academic session. In his convocation address, Justice Vinod Kumar Sharma hailed achievements of the college, and motivated the students to move ahead in life.
He said that it is important for young women to get higher education which is instrumental for them to follow their dreams. He emphasized the role of higher education in character building of an individual and overall development of the society.O. The Chief Guest was presented a token of gratitude by Dr. Agnese Dhillon, Secretary, Dev Samaj College Managing Committee.
The students were overwhelmed upon receiving their degrees and parted with an emotional heart.
