ARMY CONDUCTS CHILDREN SUMMER ADVENTURE CAMP AT MT ABU

The Southern Command Children Summer Adventure Camp 2023 was organised at Mount Abu. The ten days’ camp that concluded on Wednesday under the aegis of Battle Axe Division, offered opportunity of adventurism and personality development to the participating children. The camp aimed to provide a wholesome outdoor exposure to young boys and girls through educational, recreational and adventure activities. 

84 children from various units of Southern Command of the Indian Army attended the camp. Children enthusiastically participated in various indoor & outdoor activities including trekking, boating, rock-climbing, riding and various other competitions. (SUBHEAD)

The camp also provided a platform to the young children to explore nature, make new friends, develop diverse interests and create everlasting memories. The camp also steered students to develop innovative thinking, hone natural skills and develop new hobbies.

Various activities like Yoga, public speaking, Self –Defence and lectures on safety, security & social graces were conducted during the camp. Lt Gen Rakesh Kapoor, General Officer Commanding Konark Corps also interacted with the young participants and motivated them.
