Chandigarh Police achieved a major success by arresting two accused namely Dalip Kumar S/o Mahabir r/o H. No. 2525/3, small flats Sector-49/C Chandigarh Age-22 years&SandeepKumar @ ModiS/o Ramod Singh R/o H. No. 2613/1, Small flats Sector-49/C Chandigarh Age-19 yearsand one juvenile apprehended in case FIR No. 105 dated 05.06.2023 u/s 380,454 IPC added 411 IPC PS-39 Chandigarh.
In a major breakthrough under the supervision and guidance of Ms.KanwardeepKaur, SSP, U.T, Chandigarh a team of District Crime Cell Sector-24 in the close supervision of Sh. VikasSheokand, DANIPS, DSP/DCC and Inspector Jasminder Singh, I/C DCC were on patrolling duty to prevention and detection of criminal activities in the area of Sector-49 Chandigarh.(SUBHEAD)
On 08.06.2023, when they were on patrolling duty in Sector-49, a secret information was received about the accused of Dalip Kumar. Accused Dalip Kumar was arrested and obtained 03 days police remand.
During police interrogation, he disclosed that he committed the theft from H. No. 3546 Sector-38/D Chandigarh with his accomplish Sandeep @ Modi and one juvenile. On the instant of Dalip Kumar his associate Sandeep @ Modi was arrested on 10.06.2023 and juvenile was apprehended on 11.06.2023 and juvenile sent to Juvenile Home. Further investigation is going on.
KNOW THE ACCUSED: Dalip Kumar S/o Mahabir Age-22 years, H. No. 2525/3, small flats Sector-49/C Chandigarh, is unemployed and studed uputo 9th . He was involved in case registered 155/22, PS-Ph-8, Mohali (PB). The other accused Sandeep Kumar @ Modi Age-19 years, H. No. 2613/1, Small flats Sector-49/C Chandigarh, working with a Ration shop at Sec-49, Chandigarh . He was involved in a case FIR No. 9/22, PS-Sohana, Mohali (PB) and FIR No. 10/22, PS-Matour, Mohali (PB)
MODUS OPERANDI: Accused persons targets locked houses. Firstly, they jumped the wall of locked house and broke the main door of the house with the iron rod. They entered the room and stolen the valuable articles i.e. cash, jewellery etc.
