In a major breakthrough, under the guidance and directions of Sh. Ketan Bansal, IPS, SP Crime and under the supervision of Sh. Udaypal Singh, DSP Crime, the team of Crime Branch led by Insp. Ashok Kumar, succeeded by arresting a lady namely Rubby who is involved in the murder of her husband
namely Ashish.
On 11.6.2023, it is reported that on the intervening night of 9/10.6.2023 one person namely Ashish was murdered by his wife namely Rubby who were residing at H.No. 144, Vill. Burail, Chandigarh on rent and both are permanent resident of Bihar. After committed the murder of Ashish, she lock the house from outside and run away from Chandigarh.
In this regard, a case FIR No. 92 dated 11.6.2023 U/S 302 IPC was registered against Rubby at Police Station Sector-34, Chandigarh.
A special team of Crime Branch were constituted under the supervision of Insp. Ashok Kumar and after collected the human intelligence as well as technical surveillance, raid was conducted at the different locations. When she was trying to flee to Bihar alongwith her daughter, was arrested from Kanpur, Railway Station by the team. There the assistance of GRP and RPF was also
taken.
Reason of Murder : From the preliminary interrogation, it came on record that they were iving together in Chandigarh for last one year. Ashish was habitual of drinking and in inebriated state he used to beat his wife and daughter. She could not ope-up with all these brawls and murdered him.
