Er. Manoj Tripathi assumes charge as Chairman of The Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB).
Prior to joining BBMB, Er. Manoj Tripathi served as the Chief Engineer (Hydro Projects Monitoring) at the Central Electricity Authority (CEA), Ministry of Power, Government of India. In addition to this significant role, he also held the position of Part-Time Director at JKSPDC from 2018 to 2023.
His responsibilities at CEA included overseeing the progress and addressing issues related to 42 under-construction hydro projects with a combined capacity of approximately 18,033.5 megawatts (MW) across India, along with three Inter-Governmental/Central Public Sector Undertaking (CPSU) projects totaling 3,120 MW in Bhutan and Nepal.
Er. Manoj Tripathi's educational background is equally impressive, with a B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from Harcourt Butler Technological Institute, Kanpur (1989-1993 batch), complemented by an MBA in Finance and a certificate in Project Management.
Throughout his career, Er. Manoj Tripathi has worked with esteemed organizations, including the Central Electricity Authority, Ministry of Power, Government of India; NHPC Limited; Mangdechhu Hydro Project Authority, Bhutan; and IFFCO. He has undertaken numerous visits to more than 50 hydro projects in India and abroad, focusing on project monitoring, issue resolution, expedited project completion, vigilance and inquiry matters, contractual issues, and accident investigations.
Due to his exceptional knowledge and experience Er. Manoj Tripathi has Chaired and Convened numerous committees constituted by the Ministry of Power.
