Bangladesh-India-Pakistan People's Forum today strongly supported the demand to waive off passport requirements for Indians visiting Sri Kartarpur Sahib Gurdwara near Kartarpur Sahib Corridor in Dera Baba Nanak, besides $20 entry fee to pilgrims by the Government of Pakistan.

A one-day dharna was held demanding the abolition of the provision of fee collection.

After the dharna, a memorandum was handed over to the Prime Minister through SDM, Dera Baba Nanak. It said that Madan Lal Narula has been on a sit-in near Dera Baba Nanak, Kartarpur Sahib Corridor for 620 days for the said demands. (SUBHEAD)

BPPPF Executive President Dr. Sunilam said that the history, culture of the three countries is one and partition and bloodshed were caused by the partition by the British. If the European Union countries and East and West Germany can be united then why can't there be open movement between Bangladesh, India, Pakistan without passport, visa?

General Secretary Gopa Mukherjee said that the Forum has been working for the unity of the citizens of the three countries for the past 25 years to restore peace in South Asia.

Madan Lal Narula, who has been on an indefinite strike for 620 days, said that his strike will continue until both these demands are accepted by the Indian government.

BBPPF Punjab chapter secretary Gurmeet Singh said that the patriots of Punjab and Bengal had given the highest sacrifices in the freedom movement but after partition it is no longer possible for relatives of the same family to meet.
