During early morning hours on Tuesday. vigilant BSF troops intercepted a suspected drone near Village Dhanoe Khurd, District – Amritsar (R). As per laid down drill, BSF troops immediately reacted and intercepted the drone.
(MOREPIC2) Further a Joint search Operation with Punjab Police was carried – out in the depth area. During the search, at about 04:20 am, troops recovered 01 drone along with 01 packet of contraband Heroin (Gross wt of contraband- 430 Gms), wrapped with yellow adhesive tape, a ring of nylon string and an illuminating small size torch attached with the consignment, from the farming field near Village – DhanoeKhurd. The consignment was attached with the drone with Hold & release mechanism of the drone.
The recovered drone is a Quadcopter (Model – DJI Mavic 3 Classic, Made in China)
Yet another attempt of smugglers to smuggle narcotics through drone was foiled by alert BSF and Punjab Police.
