Panic gripped the area, when four suspicious persons, who were in a car (DL 3C AG 8919), tried to dodge the police at a “naka”. In their attempt, they hit the other vehicles with their car and finally due to heavy traffic, they had to fled from the spot, leaving their car behind.

While divulging details, SP Randhir Kumar said that following the inputs, a naka was laid at “Khai Wala Adda” near Basti Bhatian in the city area. “The police had received a tip off that the accused, who were coming in a car, were involved in suspicious activities. When the police officials tried to stop them, they tried to run over them. In their attempt, their car hit the other vehicles as there was lot of traffic on the road. To control the situation, the police officials on duty, fired two rounds following which they left their car and fled from the spot on their foot”, said SP (D).

The SP (D) said that during the search of the car, the police found an inverter battery and sharp edged weapon. “The police has launched a manhunt to nab the accused and soon they will be arrested”, said SP (D).
