PUNJAB GOVERNMENT DECLARES HOLIDAYS IN ANGANWADI CENTRES OF STATE TILL JANUARY 14

The Punjab government has declared holidays for children aged 3-6 years till January 14, 2024 in view of the winter weather across all the Anganwadi centres of state.

Social Security, Women and Child Development Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur said that it is very difficult for small children to come to Anganwadi centres due to the extreme cold season. She directed that children aged 3-6 years should be given ration that could be taken to their homes from Anganwadi workers during holidays.

The Cabinet Minister directed Child Development Project Officers to report daily on the nutrition tracker and ensure that the benefits of other schemes apart from pre-school education are given to the beneficiaries as before.
