During the morning hours on Friday, BSF troops intercepted a drone intrusion and heard a dropping sound ahead of the border fencing in Amritsar District. Following the laid-down protocol, BSF troops immediately launched a search operation.

(MOREPIC1)  Furthermore, during the search operation around 08:50 am, BSF troops successfully recovered 01 packet suspected to contain heroin (gross weight – approximately 520 grams) along with a green-coloured mini torch.

The narcotics were wrapped with yellow adhesive tape, and a metal ring was attached to the packet. This recovery took place in the farming field ahead of the border fencing adjacent to Dhanoe Khurd village in Amritsar District.

BSF spokesman from Jalandhar Punjab Frontier BSF Headquarter, said, the vigilant BSF troops thwarted yet another illicit attempt by Pakistani smugglers to transport narcotics through a drone.
