A commandant level village co-ordination meeting was organised at BOP Sadqi in chairmanship of K. N. Tripathi, Commandant BSF.
Formers requested that old naka points should be removed, on this chairman directed all coy comdrs to review their respective AOR & relocate naka points if required.
It was discussed that brick soiling along the border track should be done after proper levelling of land. Chairman assured them that he will convey the issue to concerned district authorities.
The farmers said that the cattle fence at the border track should be at 22 feet. Chairman directed all coy comdrs to ensure that cattle fence be placed at 22 feet.
The villagers suggested that sometimes outsiders are found roaming in the border area in the guise of purchase/sell of land, these people should firstly report to the nearest BSF post and then after they should be allowed to visit the border area. The chairman asked them that whenever such a type of person was seen by them, they should immediately inform the nearest BSF post. He assured that this issue will be discussed with concerned district authorities.

Chairman motivated villagers to educate their children properly so that they should get reputed jobs. He said that villagers should be alert about any notorious activity by rogue people by painting any anti India slogan or unfurling Khalistani flag at places.
Villagers said that compensation for land ahead of the fence has not been issued to them for the last year. Chairman said that he will convey the matter to concerned district authorities.
Among the BSF personnel, present in the meeting, included Vibhash,2IC, Gurdeep Singh DC, Biplab Halder DC, J K Singh AC, R P Bhakal AC, D D Sharma AC, Sumit Kumar AC, Inspr (G) Arun Upadhyay, Inspr Ashraful Hossain, Inspr Vishram Meena, SI(G) Awadhesh Pandey.
Approx 50 civilians including sarpanch, members & villagers of bordering villages attended the meeting.
