The sleuths belonging to Punjab police nabbed the murder accused within 24 hours of the incident.

While divulging details, SSP Saumya Mishra said that on the basis of the complaint of one Gurjant Singh resident of Kamala Middu village in Mallanwala block, the police had booked Bacchittar Singh, resident of Dulla Singh Wala village.

The SSP said that the accused Bachittar had called Gurjant and his brother Satnam Singh to his residence at Dulla Singh Wala village on Wednesday night. “Both Gurjant and Satnam along with their friend Balwinder Singh, reached at the house of Bachhittar during late night hours. Bachittar called Satnam inside other room of his house and fired at him fled from the spot”, said SSP Mishra.

An FIR under sections 302, 506 besides 25,27 of Arms Act was registered at Mallanwala police station.
“Meanwhile trap was laid at various places to nab the accused Bachittar during which he was arrested from the bus stand of Fatehgarh Sabraon village. Bachittar had some personal enmity with Satnam due to which Bachittar had killed him”, said SSP.
