66BN BSF ORGANISES FREE MEDICAL CHECK-UP CAMP

A free medical camp was organized by the 66th battalion of BSF under the Civic Action Program in the Govt Middle School of border village Mahatam Nagar.

The camp organized under the guidance of Mrs. Smriti Verma, 66 Battalion BWWA President, was inaugurated by Mrs. Reena, Regional BWWA President, Sector Headquarters Abohar, and Dr. Neeta Paliwal, Deputy Inspector General (Medical), Frontier Headquarters Jalandhar.

A large number of women and children were benefited which belonged to Mahatam Nagar, Dona Nanak, Ram Singh Ki Bhaini, Jhangar Bhaini, Reta Wali Bhaini, Gulaba Bhaini, village Maujam, Mahar Khiva.

(SUBHEAD)Senior doctors of BSF and Civil who examined the patients coming to the camp included Dr. Piyali Nath, Dr. Mili Murmu, Dr. Shivangi, Dr. Suresh Kamboj and Dr. Gurmeet.

Free medicines were given to the patients. Free sanitary pads were also distributed to rural women in large quantities.

Camp organizer Arun Kumar Verma, Commandant 66th Battalion, said that in future also such medical camps will be organized to provide medical facilities to the elderly, women and children living in the border areas. Commandant also requested the women to play a major role in keeping the children and men at home away from the evil of drug de-addiction.
