Along with SSP, the Deputy Commissioner Dr. Senu Duggal on Monday held a meeting with the members of the Village Defense Committee to reorient them about latest government steps to more effectively tackle drug trafficking attempts from across the border. The meeting was held at the border village of Jodha Bhaini near the international border.

(MOREPIC1)Lauding their role, The DC said that the people of the border villages provide a lot of support to the security forces, while urging them to inform the police or BSF if they get any information about any drone activity.

She said that anti-nation elements from the other side of the border try to infiltrate drugs and weapons into our country. “We will negate all their attempts and for these police and civil administration require your help,” she added.

SSP Varinder Singh Brar told the people that if they have any information regarding drug trafficking in the area, they should feel free to inform the police so that strict action can be taken against the culprits. He also said that the identity of the informer will be kept confidential.
