In a proactive measure to bolster disaster preparedness, the Chandigarh Administration, in collaboration with the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), announces the undertaking of a Mock Exercise on Earthquake Scenario on February 22, 2024.

With the primary objective of enhancing the city's resilience and preparedness in the face of potential seismic events, the mock exercise will be executed across various locations within Chandigarh. This initiative underscores the unwavering commitment of both the Chandigarh Administration and the NDMA to ensure the safety and well-being of all citizens.

Under the guidance and support of both entities, the exercise aims to simulate a realistic earthquake scenario, enabling stakeholders to evaluate and refine response protocols effectively. The ultimate goal is to minimize loss of life and mitigate the impact of such calamities on the community.

In light of this exercise, citizens are urged to remain vigilant and familiarize themselves with emergency protocols.

For any emergency assistance or information, the public is reminded to utilize the universal helpline number, 112.
