Vigilant soldiers of 66 Battalion BSF (under the Abohar Sector) seized 9 packets of heroin weighing about 9.7 Kg during a search operation near the international border in village Mohar Sona, in the jurisdiction of Sadar Fazilka police station.

The 66 Battalion BSF has increased intense vigil on the Indo-Pak border in view of the Lok Sabha election. A spokesman said that special operations are being carried out on the border and an attempt to smuggle heroin from Pakistan's side was foiled by alert soldiers.
