BSF CONDUCTS BORDER TOUR FOR SCHOOL CHILDREN

At Border Out Post (BOP) Maujam Forward, the children of Atamvallabh Public School, Fazilka were taken on a border tour by the 66th Battalion of the Border Security Force, during which an exhibition of modern weapons was organised and a documentary video was screened under the drug de-addiction campaign. An oath was administered to fight against drugs.

Commandant of 66th Battalion, Arun Kumar Verma welcomed the teachers and students. BSF jawans gave information about different types of weapons. About 137 students from class 5th to 12th and 10 teachers/staff participated in this program. The objective of the program is to motivate the children to join the Armed Forces, and under the Nasha Mukti Abhiyan being run by the Border Security Force, the students are to be made in the fight to eradicate drug addiction from its roots.

Commandant Verma administered oath against drugs to all the students and teachers and appealed to the border area residents to contribute in eradicating drugs from Fazilka.
