AHEAD OF JUNE 1 POLL, DC AND SP MAKE SURPRISE NIGHT INSPECTION OF NAKAS

To ensure strict vigil ahead of June 1 Lok Sabha Polls, the Fazilka Deputy Commissioner Dr. Senu Duggal, accompanied by SSP Dr. Pragya Jain, conducted surprise inspections of joint Nakas by BSF and Punjab Police near the International border.

The aim was to ensure foolproof security arrangements ahead of Lok Sabha Polling in the border district. Punjab will go to polls in the last phase of ongoing Polls on June 1. The results would be announced on June 4. 

(SUBHEAD)Our Jawans need our support and motivation as they work day and night to keep us safe, Dr. Duggal said while lauding the BSF and Punjab Police for the immense role in nation building. 

The DC also urged all the citizens to exercise their right to vote in maximum numbers so as to contribute towards a stronger democracy. ” A Vote is our cherished right guaranteed through our Constitution and every citizen must exercise their right freely and fairly, she added.  

Assuring all citizens of stringent police measures to ward off any instance of cross border activity, SSP Dr. Pragya Jain said the district administration is all geared up to ensure a peaceful and memorable experience for every voter.
