Under the Environment Education Programme (EEP), in collaboration with the Punjab State Council for Science and Technology and supported by the Ministry of Environment, Forest, and Climate Change, students of the ‘Jeevan Shakti’ Eco Club at Gopichand Arya Mahila College celebrated World Environment Day with great enthusiasm.

The students took the “Mission Life” pledge, affirming their dedication to promoting sustainable living and protecting the environment. They participated in a tree plantation drive, actively engaging in efforts to enhance the greenery around their campus. This hands-on activity not only beautified the college grounds but also underscored the importance of trees in maintaining ecological balance.

They also showcased their creativity and awareness through a poster and slogan-making competition focused on environmental conservation. The vibrant posters and thought-provoking slogans highlighted critical issues such as pollution, deforestation, and climate change, emphasizing the need for immediate and sustained action.

The students recited poems cantered on environmental themes, adding a literary dimension to the day's activities.

Principal Dr. Rekha Sood Handa congratulated the staff and students.
