On the intervening night of 31/08/23 & 01/09/23, victim was present in his house. The accused poured petrol at the door of victim’s house and set it on fire. The victim was saved but he sustained severe burn injuries. Accordingly, a case FIR No. 533/23, u/s 307/34 IPC was registered at P.S Kalindi Kunj, Delhi.
Mr. Rakesh Paweriya, IPS, DCP, said, during investigation, it was found that the main accused Akash @ Bhaida @ Kana has a gang which indulges in robbery and extortion. Accused Akash @ Bhaida @ Kana is involved in multiple cases, including a robbery-cum-murder case in Sarita Vihar. When he was released from jail on bail in 2023, he found his wife living with one Ranjan, who is a member of Shahrukh gang. In order to seek revenge, he set Ranjan’s house on fire in which Ranjan sustained severe burn injuries.
(SUBHEAD)A team of Southern Range, Crime Branch, consisting SI Rajesh Kumar, ASI Vijumon, HC Arvind, HC Sonveer, HC Umesh, W/Ct Mamta and W/Ct Shobha under the leadership of Inspr Vijay Pal Dahiya and overall supervision of ACP Naresh Solanki, was constituted. The team gathered information through technical surveillance and deployed informers. It also came to notice that accused Akash @ Bhaida @ Kana, always carries a loaded pistol and is in search of Ranjan to exact revenge.
The team apprehended accused Akash @ Bhaida @ Kana, R/O Madanpur Khadar from Jaitpur Kalindi Kunj Road, Delhi while he was riding a stolen motorcycle to commit another crime. He resisted arrest, but the team overpowered him and recovered one loaded pistol (with five cartridges) from his possession. The recovered bike was also found stolen vide e-FIR No. 7085/18, P.S Amar Colony, Delhi. A case u/s 25/54/59 Arms Act & 411 IPC has been registered at P.S Crime Branch. During investigation, he disclosed that due to his wife’s infidelity, he wanted to eliminate Ranjan and he was looking for an opportunity to kill him. He is previously involved in theft, snatching, robbery, attempt to murder, and murder cases of Delhi.
