SAPTA SHAKTI COMMAND BUGYAL FACHU KANDI TREKKING EXPEDITION CONCLUDES

The 14 members team of the Dot-On Target Division of Sapta Shakti Command successfully completed one of the most arduous and challenging treks to Bugyal Fachu Kandi, situated at an altitude of 8,936 feet in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand. The trekking team was flagged in today by Maj Gen Amit Talwar, VSM at Hisar Military Station. 

Led by Captain Shreet Mishra, the team comprised two Officers, two Junior Commissioned Officers and ten Other Ranks. During this adventurous journey, the team traversed a total distance of 156 Kms, trekking through the inhospitable terrain of Himalayas. The Trekking team proudly hoisted the Tricolour on Fachu Kandi on 30 May 24. The expedition was flagged off by General Officer Commanding, Dot-On Target Division on 18 May 2024.

The aim of the expedition was to promote the spirit of Physical Fitness, Adventure, Conservation of nature, and eco-tourism awareness. The Team conducted motivational lectures on How to Join the Indian Army, for school students in the remote village of Mori. They also felicitated Ex Servicemen in the area for their Service to the Nation and conducted a tree plantation drive. A Medical Aid Camp for locals of Mori was also organised.
