During late evening hours, on Monday, BSF intelligence wing shared information regarding presence of a drone with narcotics in the border area of district Amritsar. Acting promptly, BSF troops in collaboration with Punjab police conducted an extensive search operation in the suspected arDuring the search operation, at about 08:30 pm, troops successfully recovered 01 drone along with 01 packet of suspected heroin (Gross weight- 550 grams) from the area adjacent to village- Roranwala in district Amritsar. The narcotics were wrapped in yellow colour adhesive tape and 01 metal ring alongwith a small torch were found attached with the packet.
The recovered drone has been identified as a China-made DJI Mavic 3 classic.
Reliable information of BSF and coordinated efforts with Punjab Police successfully recovered yet another illicit drone with narcotics sent from across the border.
