The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested accused Sr. Section Engineer (Bridge), South East Central Railway, Nainpur, Distt. Mandla (M.P.) while accepting bribe of Rs 39,000/- from the complainant.
CBI registered a case on complaint on 26.06.2024 against accused, Sr. Section Engineer (Bridge) on the allegations that accused demanded bribe of Rs. 39000/- i.e. 3% of total bill amount of Rs. 13,00,000/- from complainant for allowing to him to work smoothly and also to get his pending bill cleared from the O/o. Dy. Chief Engineer (Bridge), SEC Railway, Bilaspur.
CBI laid a trap and caught the said accused while accepting bribe of Rs 39,000/- from the complainant. The accused was later arrested and is being produced before the competent Court.
Searches were conducted at the premises of accused which led to recovery of incriminating documents.
Investigation is continuing.
