Eighty Five years old Karnail Singh had been running from pillar to post, from one office to other, for the possession of one acre land situated at Ferozeshah village in this district.
While addressing a press conference at Ferozpur Press Club, Karnail Singh said that he has one acre land in the village and the registry of the land is on his name but his land has been illigaly occupied by one Balwant Singh.
“Despite orders of the Court, he is harassing me. I approached the Deputy Commissioner and SDM also for justice, but without any fruitful results. Balwant is not even paying the agreed amount besides he is continuously ignoring the orders of the court”, said Karnail while narrating hid tale of wows.
” I support my family by farming at the age of 85 years when I felt difficulty in moving and under-treatment for heart disease from a specialist from Civil Hospital. I am facing a lot of financial and mental stress. Recently on June 14, Balwant diverted the water flow to harras me and the matter was reported to the police but nothing has happened “, said Karnail.
Karnail appealed to the district administration for justice by getting the possession of his land and help in getting the outstanding contract amount at the earliest.
