UNION PRESIDENT HARGOBIND KAUR MISLEADING PUBLIC BY ISSUING FALSE STATEMENTS

Face2News/Chandigarh

Terming the news regarding stay on the orders of dismissal President of the All Punjab Anganwadi Employees Union Mrs. Hargobind Kaur as false, the official spokesperson of the Department of Social Security, Women and Child Development on Saturday clarified that the former is misleading the public by giving false statements.

The spokesperson said that on July 11, 2024, the All Punjab Anganwadi Employees Union held a dharna in front of the Directorate Office, and keeping in view the law and order situation, department officials met with the union delegation.

During the meeting, the union members presented a memorandum requesting a stay on the dismissal of Mrs. Hargobind Kaur, the spokesperson said, while adding that the officials on the behalf of the department have just assured the union members that their request would be conveyed to higher authorities.

However, Mrs. Hargobind Kaur misrepresented this assurance to the press, falsely claiming that the department had stayed her dismissal.

The spokesperson emphasized that the department only agreed to forward the union's request to the higher authorities and did not make any commitment regarding a stay on her dismissal.
