Raj Sadosh/Abohar.

With the aim of making Abohar a clean and green town, a camp was held outside Sunder Nagari on the Hanumangarh Road today under the Apna Abohar Apni Abha program.

Convener and MLA Sandeep Jakhar said that to enhance the beauty of the town, about 2500 saplings have been planted during the previous camps and today about 500 new saplings were planted and the old plants were taken care of.

Special attention is also being given to the maintenance of the plants being planted by Jakhar Trust in the past. It is only because of the campaign and the cooperation of the local residents that Abohar's name has been removed from the list of most unclean towns.

There has been a lot of improvement in terms of cleanliness but more needs to be done which is possible only with the cooperation of the residents. For that, they will have to completely stop using single-use plastic, so that the cleanliness and sewerage system of the city is maintained.

Like every week, today also the disciples Divya Jyoti Sansthan served refreshments to the volunteers.
