Park Hospital has commenced the use of innovative Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) in Parkinson's disease treatment, wherein a device similar to a pacemaker is used to treat Parkinson's by controlling abnormal activities and providing relief in symptoms like tremors, rigidity, and small steps. In India, Parkinson's disease affects approximately 1% of people over the age of 60, and due to the increasing elderly population, its prevalence is rising.
