In a vibrant celebration of our nation’s 78th Independence Day, the students of St. John's School Kharar put forth an enthusiastic display of patriotism and creativity. The events, which included a Fancy Dress competition for Kindergarten and a Poetry competition for students of Grades 1 to 5, were a heartwarming reminder of the importance of national pride and cultural heritage.

The Kindergarten Fancy Dress competition was a delightful spectacle, with the youngest members of our school community donning costumes representing various national heroes, freedom fighters, and cultural symbols. Little ones marched onto the stage dressed as Mahatma Gandhi, Rani Lakshmibai, Subhas Chandra Bose, and other iconic figures.

Each child, with their innocent charm and vivid costumes, brought to life the stories of bravery and sacrifice that have shaped our nation. The auditorium was filled with applause and cheers as these tiny patriots took center stage, showcasing their understanding of the significance of Independence Day.

Each poem was a testament to the budding talent and deep sense of patriotism among the children.

The event concluded with the speech of principal Mrs.Poonam Ahuja emphasizing the importance of remembering the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters and encouraging the young minds to contribute positively to the nation’s future.

The Independence Day celebrations at St. John's School Kharar were not just an opportunity for fun and competition but a meaningful way to instill patriotic values in the hearts of the next generation. This Independence Day, the children of our school reminded us all that the spirit of freedom and patriotism continues to thrive in the youngest members of our society.
