Several doctors at Fortis Hospital Mohali staged a protest to express solidarity to protest the brutal and gruesome gangrape of a doctor on the premises of RG Kar Medical College in Kolkata recently. The protest was organized to support the call given by the Indian Medical Association (IMA) regarding a nation-wide strike starting from 6AM on August 17 until 6 AM on August 18. All outpatient departments (OPDs) remained closed at Fortis Mohali on Saturday.

(MOREPIC1)  Dr Swapna Misra, Director, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Fortis Mohali, said, “The incident has shaken the conscience of the society and is an eye-opener. Women should feel safe at the workplace. The perpetrators of the crime should be brought to book.” Talking on similar lines,
