Dr. Senu Duggal, District Magistrate, Fazilka, exercising the powers under Section 163 of the BNS, has issued orders to close all meat and egg shops and slaughter houses in Fazilka district in view of Janmashtami on August 24 from 6 pm to 8 pm as Shobha Yatra is to be taken out.
The DM said that a complete ban has been imposed on the sale of eggs and meat in hotels and dhabas.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Fazilka, Commissioner Municipal Corporation Abohar, Deputy Director Animal Husbandry Fazilka and all executive officers of Municipal Council / Nagar Panchayat in district Fazilka have been made responsible for the implementation of the order.
