16 leading teams of the country including state teams like Punjab, Haryana, Himachal, Baroda and Chhatisgarh will participate in the 29th edition of the All India JP Atray Memorial Cricket Tournament from September 10 to 20 this year.
The Trophy of the 29th All India J.P.Atray Memorial Cricket Tournament was unveiled here today .The 29th Edition of JP Atray Memorial Cricket tournament will see top young players of the country and will be played under the auspices of the Punjab Cricket Association & is recognised by BCCI.
According to Sh.Vivek Atray (Ex.IAS ) & Convenor of the tournament the 29th edition of the prestigious tournament will be an excellent preparation for the Cricketers for the upcoming Domestic Season of BCCI.
(SUBHEAD)According to Capt Sushil Kapoor Organising Secretary 16 Teams from all over india have confirmed their participation in 29th edition of the tournament. The 16 will teams divided into four pools. All the matches will be played on league cum knockout basis. The top team of each pool will qualify for semi finals. The Final match of the tournament will be played at PCA Stadium, Mohali. The tournanent will be held from 10th to 20th September at PCA Stadium , Mohali, Dhruv Pandove Cricket Stadium, Patiala, Mullanpur International Cricket Stadium, Mohali , Mahajanss z x Cricket Ground, Chandigarh & TDL Cricket Stadium, Panchkula.
Capt.Sushil Kapoor, Organising Secretary of the tournament said, the winners will get a Cash prize of 3 lakhs & Winners Trophy.the runners up will get 1.50.lakhs Cash with Trophy. On this occasion Dr.H.K bali, Sh.V.K.Kapoor ( Ex.IPS, Sh.Vivek Atray ( Ex IAS), Capt.Sushil Kapoor, Sh.Harminder Bawa, Sh.Arun Kumar Bodha, Sh.Gautam Sharma , Sh.Amarjit Kumar & Sh.Daljit Singh were also Present.
The Participating 16 teams are= Indian Railways, Haryana Cricket Association Colts, Himachal Cricket Association, J & K Cricket Association, Punjab Cricket Association Colts, UT Cricket Association, Baroda CA, Chatisgarh CA, Bihar Players-11 ( Patna), BPCL, Minerva , PCC, Ran Star CC, Delhi, CAG, Delhi Challengers & Soni Cricket Team. the inaugural match will be played on 10th September at TDL Cricket Stadium, Panchkula.All the matches will be played on one day patteren with SG Test White ball and colored clothing. BCCI State panel Umpires & Scorers will officiating in the tournament.
