FLAG MARCHES CONDUCTED IN FAZILKA DISTRICT

The Fazilka police on Sunday conducted flag marches in all the subdivisions of the district ahead of the panchayat elections.

The flag march at Fazilka was led by Deputy Commissioner Amarpreet Kaur Sandhu and District Police Chief Varinder Singh Brar.

The DC said that the polling for the Panchayat elections in the district is going to be held on October 15, and all arrangements have been completed to conduct the elections in a peaceful, amicable and fair manner.

She said that as per the instructions of the Election Commission, strict security arrangements would be made and no untoward incident would be tolerated. The police and administration have been entrusted with several responsibilities to keep a close watch on all miscreants during the elections.

(SUBHEAD)SSP Varinder Singh Brar said that no mischievous element would be allowed to disturb law and order. The SSP asked the police officials to ensure full security arrangements during the elections in a professional manner.

Similarly, flag marches were taken out in Sub Division Jalalabad and Abohar. During these flag marches, the police assured the people that all preparations have been made to maintain peace and law and order during the elections. People should poll their votes without any fear.
