A team of Inter State Cell, Crime Branch has arrested rewarded cheater of ₹ 50,000/- and Proclaimed Offender namely Krishanu Goswami r/o Nadia, West Bengal, who was wanted in a case of PS CR Park, Delhi.
A case vide FIR No. 176/23 Dated 02.08.2023 u/s 408/34 IPC was registered in PS CR Park, Delhi wherein, the complainant Sh. Raj Kumar r/o Kolkata, West Bengal had alleged that his 04 employees including store in-charge/manager Krishanu Goswami, had misappropriated gold items weighing 4732.54 gms having market value around Rs 2.90 Crore. In this case, Krishanu Goswami was running at large and he was declared PO vide order dated 27.05.2024 from the Hon’ble Court of Saket, Delhi. Subsequently, a reward of ₹ 50,000/- was declared on his arrest.

Commissioner of Police, Crime Branch: Delhi, while working against the wanted accused persons, Proclaimed Offenders and rewarded accused persons, the name of Krishanu Goswami, surfaced. Accordingly, a dedicated team was constituted comprising Insp. Mahipal Singh, SI’s Gaurav, Ankit, HC’s Naveen, Sunil, Tarun, Vinod, Nitesh and Ct. Dharm under the supervision of Insp. Satendra Mohan and overall supervision of Sh. Ramesh Chander Lamba, ACP/ISC, to nab the accused person.
The team scanned all relevant record/details of the case to get clue about the targeted accused person. With the information extracted through the records and persons associated with the above case, the team started tracking him with the help of technical surveillance.
During search, team tracked the accused in his native place in Nadia, West Bengal. On the basis of a tipoff received to HC Nitesh, a team was sent to Nadia, West Bengal and on 27.01.2025, as a result of well-directed efforts and hard work, the team was successful in nabbing wanted Krishanu Goswami from his village. After necessary formalities and enquiry, he was arrested in this case.
During interrogation, it was revealed that accused was working as manager in the store of complainant and he allegedly misappropriated Gold during his tenure and ran away to his native place. He was hiding himself out of the reach of the police by changing his locations.
PROFILE OF ACCUSED: Accused Krishanu Goswami r/o Nadia, West Bengal, age- 45 years has studied upto 11th class. He was having good knowledge of business of gold ornaments, so with his skills, he first won the confidence of complainant and later joined Kolkata showroom in the year 2014, as store manager. Later, on the basis of his performance, he was shifted to Delhi in 2022 as a store manager.
Further investigation is going on.
