COUPLE TOGETHER RECEIVES PHD DEGREES AT CONVOCATION

A couple, having Abohar connection, had the distinction of receiving PhD degrees in the same convocation. Jyoti, daughter of Mahabir Prasad, who served at the BSNL in Abohar, received her PhD in Hindi Literature at the Convocation of Banasthali Vidyapith, Banasthali. She did her research work on comparative study of Hindi and Punjabi novel literature.

Her husband, Sushil Budia, received his PhD in Computer Science and Engineering. He did his research work on Cyber Security Solutions based on Artificial Intelligence.

Banasthali Vidyapith, also known as Banasthali University, celebrated its 41st Convocation Ceremony recently. Prof. T. G. Sitharam, Chairman, All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), was the Chief Guest.

(SUBHEAD)A total of 4,338 students were conferred degrees, including 332 PhDs, marking a significant milestone in their academic journey. A highlight of the ceremony was the medal distribution, where 122 outstanding students were awarded gold medals by the Chief Guest for their exemplary achievements.

Prof. Sitharam was highly impressed by the vibrant campus, world-class infrastructure, and the exceptional talent of Banasthalites. He was captivated by the rich cultural and academic ecosystem, including Fresco painting, cultural activities, horse riding, aviation flying and gliding club, life sciences, design, engineering workshops, automation, artificial intelligence and robotics, and music department.
